The Kuwaiti appellate court has sentenced to death seven Kuwaitis convicted of belonging to jihad groups that planned to attack U.S. forces in Iraq.
It also acquitted wanted Kuwaiti Islamist Khaled Al-Dosari.

Saudi intelligence has announced that the 22-member terrorist cell apprehended in the recent sweep of arrests of 208 terrorists had planned to assassinate members of the country's top religious authority, the Council of Senior Clerics.

The imam of a Nuremberg mosque, Sheikh Idris, has stirred a heated debate in the Bavarian government and Christian circles with a proposal to establish a European Islamic center in Germany.
The center would deal, inter alia, with integrating Muslim communities into the wider European society.

On November 29, the Islamist website Al-Ekhlaas, hosted by NOC4HOSTS Inc. in Florida, USA, posted an audio message by Osama bin Laden, produced by Al-Qaeda's media company Al-Sahab.
The message, which was addressed to the European people, is aimed at exploiting the moral debate over the war in Iraq and Afghanistan currently underway in the West, particularly in Europe.
In it, bin Laden depicts European leaders as vassals of the U.S. and calls on Europeans to pressure their governments to end their involvement in the war in Afghanistan.

Riyadh will be host to a symposium in which Chinese intellectuals and researchers will participate along with researchers, scientists and intellectuals from the Arab League countries.
The symposium will take place December 1-3.
Discussions will deal with the development of Arab-Chinese cultural ties, confronting the challenges of globalization, and joint activity to minimize "Western cultural hegemony over the world."

More than 300 Christian clergymen have signed a letter titled "Love of God and Love of the Neighbor" apologizing to Muslims for the Crusades and for the excesses of the War on Terror.
The letter came in response to a letter to Christians titled "A Common Word Between Us and You," which was signed by 138 Muslim scientists and intellectuals.
Sheikh Al-Habib Ali Al-Jifri, president of the UAE-based Taba Organization, told a press conference earlier this week, "I am happy with this reply, which is a step of rapprochement between the two religions and civilizations such as has not been seen in more than 500 years."

Tawazen Holding Company in collaboration with Rhinemetal Munitions System will invest $73 million toward the construction of an ammunition plant, the first in Abu Dhabi, that could meet the needs of the United Arab Emirates and the other members of GCC. The plant will be constructed in Zayed Military City and will use modern technology to build air, sea, and land ammunitions.
The plant is expected to produce ammunition for aircrafts in 2008 and for naval ships in 2009.
