Iraq Awakening Councils Warn Iran

Ali Hatem, head of the Awakening Councils in Iraq, has warned Iranians and their supporters in Iraq against attacking Iraqi citizens, particularly tribal members in Iraq.

Hatem threatened to expel the Iranian ambassador from Iraq if Iran continues to interfere in its affairs.

Hamas: Israel Will Pay Dearly If It Rejects 'Tahdia'

Senior Hamas official Muhammad Al-Zahhar warned that if Israel rejects the tahdia ("calm") proposal, it will pay a very high price.

He added, "Israel has 200 nuclear warheads, and the Palestinians have 200,000 heads of people who want to give their lives and blow themselves up inside Israel."

Sudan President: We Reject Normalization With Israel

In a speech at Port Sudan, Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir declared that his government rejected Europe's and the U.S.'s proposal to provide economic aid on condition that Sudan normalize relations with Israel.

He explained the rejection by saying that Allah had warned Muslims against allying with Jews and Christians.

Muslim Brotherhood In Egypt Join General Strike

Muslim Brotherhood General Guide Muhammad Mahdi 'Akef has called on Muslim Brotherhood supporters to participate in the general strike organized by the opposition movements, set for May 4.

The Muslim Brotherhood leadership decided that its members would participate as individuals, not as representatives of the movement, and called on its members not to wave movement symbols.

According to 'Akef, the Muslim Brotherhood is opposed to harming government institutions or national resources.
