Iranian Website Assesses: Arrest of Mousavi, Karroubi Imminent

The Iranian website Lenziran.com assesses that Khamenei's December 29, 2010 speech, in which he blamed the heads of the protest movement for the 2009 riots, and recent statements by senior members of the Iranian judiciary against the same figures, indicate that the arrest of Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi is imminent.

Head Of Sunni Islamist Organization In Lebanon: March 8 Forces Are Preparing To Occupy Northern Lebanon

Saif Al-Din Al-Hasami, who heads a Sunni Islamist organization in Lebanon, has said that the March 8 Forces are establishing military cells in Tripoli in order to incite intra-Sunni fitna (civil strife) in the north of the country. He added that Hizbullah is preparing to occupy Tripoli as soon as the international tribunal releases its indictment in the Al-Hariri assassination case, in order to stop the residents of the north from possibly blocking the organization's takeover of Beirut.

South Sudan: Our State Won't Have Relations With Israel

Iranian Ambassador To Syria: Strengthening Religious Culture Fortifies Resistance

Iranian Ambassador to Syria Hojjatoleslam Seyyed Ahmad Moussavi said in Damascus last night that strengthening religious culture would fortify the foundations of resistance culture.

Al-Qaeda-Affiliated Media Center Publishes English-Language Handbook on Making Homemade Explosives

On December 29, 2010, the Al-Qaeda-affiliated media center Global Islamic Media Front and the Dar Al-Jabha publishing house electronically published an English-language book titled The Explosives Course. Links to download the book were posted on jihadi forums such as Shumukh Al-Islam and the Ansar Al-Mujahideen English forum, with jihadist sympathizers also posting links on Facebook.
