Movement Close To Hamas Holds Online Conference For Int'l Jerusalem Day, Excludes Shi'ites In Support Of Sheikh Al-Qaradhawi

The Electronic Resistance Movement, which is close to Hamas, is marking International Jerusalem day by sponsoring an online convention of representatives of fundamentalist Islamic movements, on its website, www.hamasna.com.

Unlike last year's convention, in which Shi'ite sheikhs, including Hizbullah's deputy secretary-general Na'im Qasem, participated, there will be no Shi'ite representation in this year's convention.

The exclusion of Shi'ite sheikhs is in solidarity with Sheikh Yousef Al-Qaradhawi, who is under media attack by Shi'ites following his statements against the spread of the Shi'a in the Arab world (see "Al-Qaradhawi Again Attacks Shi'ites, Says Anyone Who Accepts Shi'a Becomes Loyal To Iran, Not To His Own Homeland").
