Ahmadinejad: Iraq-U.S. Security Pact Aimed At Keeping Iraq Weak; Barazani: Pact Better Than Status Quo

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said that the U.S.-Iraq security agreement is aimed at keeping Iraq weak and helping Washington plunder it.

He added that the Americans have proven that they do not respect any agreement, not even those with allies, when the agreement conflicts with its own interests.

Ahmadinejad made the statements during a visit to Tehran by Kurdistan region president Mas'oud Barazani.

Barazani, for his part, defended the agreement, saying that it was preferable to the status quo.
