The Sunni-Shi'ite Dialogue Center, recently established in Kuwait, has formed contacts with senior Sunni and Shi'ite clerics.
The contacts are aimed at convening joint conferences, which will produce a covenant banning cursing the companions and wives of the Prophet Muhammad and will deal with other issues that could spark disputes between Sunnis and Shi'ites.
