Al-Miqdad Jibril, Iraqi information advisor to the coalition forces in Iraq, said that a senior official in Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) was arrested November 18 at the Baghdad airport.
Jibril said that the official had been wanted for smuggling arms into Iraq from Iran.
He added that the man had worked for an organization dealing with construction and security for religious sites, that was also in charge of several organizations via which the IRGC smuggled arms disguised as construction materials into Iraq.
