Former U.S. president Jimmy Carter is to visit Beirut on December 9, Lebanon's National News Agency reported yesterday.
The agency said that Carter's accompanying delegation is expected to arrive in Lebanon tomorrow, to set the stage for the former president's visit.
In April, Carter visited Damascus and met with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad.
He also held talks with Hamas political bureau head Khaled Mash'al, despite U.S. and Israeli warnings.
