Leading Lebanese oppositionist Michel Aoun announced, at a press conference in Damascus following his meeting with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, that a new leaf was being turned over in Syria-Lebanon relations, and that henceforth there were no winners or losers.
He also stressed that the Lebanese must apologize to Syria before they demand that it apologize to them.
Aoun said that there is a big difference between the Syria of the late president Hafez Al-Assad and that of his son Bashar, because of changed circumstances and behavior.
He added that there was no dispute between Syria and Lebanon over the ownership of the Shab'a Farms, except for a minor issue connected to the date of the demarcation of the borders.
