In an interview, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that the Mumbai terror attacks were a continuation of the 9/11 conspiracy, aimed at expanding the deployment of NATO forces in the region, and accused elements outside the region of planning the attack.
The Iranian daily Kayhan, which is close to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, stated that the U.S. was behind the Mumbai attacks.
