During a mass march of solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza, held yesterday in Doha, Qatar, Sheikh Yousef Al-Qaradhawi, head of the Union of Muslim Scholars, said that aiding to the residents of Gaza is an Islamic obligation, and that the Hamas leaders were a model of heroism and manliness.
In implied criticism of Arab leaders, he said, "It is strange that the peoples are willing to sacrifice themselves and wage a war of jihad, but that this is preventing them."
