The Egyptian authorities have stopped a U.S. diplomat from entering Egypt without a visa.
Following a decision by Egypt to respond to inappropriate treatment of Egyptian diplomats abroad with similar treatment of foreign diplomats coming to Egypt, European diplomats have not been allowed to enter Egypt. However, this is the first such incident involving a U.S. diplomat.
