Former Iraqi prime minister Ayad Alawi has called on the West not to delude itself in the aftermath of Iraq's provincial council elections that Iraq is advancing towards stabilization, and warned of a possible "explosion" in the upcoming general elections in the country.
He said that although the religious parties are losing power, the ethnic rift remains.
