Sources at Al-Azhar have revealed that Al-Azhar Sheikh Muhammad Sayyed Tantawi intends to submit his resignation to Egyptian Prime Minister Ahmad Natif, due to deteriorating health and due to his advanced age.
Tantawi is 81.
