The political blocs in the Kirkuk province, which did not participate in the provincial council elections due to internal disputes, have agreed to split up the leadership posts in the province by ethnicity.
The provincial council leadership will be Turkmen, the governor will be Kurdish, the deputy governor will be Arab, and the other posts will be distributed evenly among the three blocs.
