Iranian Official: We've Stopped Uranium Enrichment

Sadegh Rabbani, former vice president of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, has said that Iran has unofficially stopped its uranium enrichment so that it would get positive marks in the report released last week by International Atomic Energy Agency head Mohamed ElBaradei, and also to have the sanctions on it removed.

He said that the West was trying to delay nuclear talks with Iran until the results of the upcoming Iranian presidential election are known.

Iran's presidential election is scheduled for June 2009.
