Iraqi Agrees To Extradite Arab Prisoners To Their Home Countries

The Iraqi parliament's human rights committee has called on the Algerian government to immediately sign a legal agreement with the Iraqi government to allow the extradition of 130 Algerian prisoners held in Iraq for belonging to the Iraqi resistance.

According to the committee, a similar agreement was recently signed between Iraq and Saudi Arabia.

The committee also reported that under the recent U.S.-Iraq security agreement, U.S. troops have begun to transfer some 50 prisoners every day to the Iraqi authorities, of 10,.000 whom they are holding.
