Elaph: Iranian Suicide Bomber Cells in Europe, Gulf
The liberal website Elaph.com reported May 1 that Iran has recently sent commanders to Europe and the Persian Gulf to command sleeper cells of suicide bombers that are to act if Iran is attacked. According to an unofficial Iranian source, the commanders of the suicide bombers are: Hizbullah-Iran Commander Mohammad Reza Yazdan Bana, known as Hossein Karam Allah, who was appointed Iranian military attaché in the Balkans, and who is based in Zagreb; and Col. Sa'id Qasmi, originator of the idea of and the founder of the sleeper suicide cells in Europe. The Iranian source added that two intelligence officers have been appointed to command the sleeper cells in the UAE and Qatar: Bad Al-Emir 'Efrawi, officer in the Iranian Al-Qods Forces, who is acting in the guise of head of the Iranian Red Crescent; and the Lebanese Anis Al-Naqash, who collaborated with Carlos during the 70s in the kidnapping of the OPEC ministers in Vienna and was imprisoned in France during the 80s for involvement in an assassination attempt against an exiled Iranian oppositionist. According to the source, 50 citizens of countries neighboring Iran are currently being trained at the Imam Ali base in Iran, for carrying out terror operations in Iraq, Lebanon, and the Gulf states. These activists are sent to the destination countries disguised as individuals engaged in humanitarian aid or as advisors to construction companies. In addition, some Al-Qods Forces commanders are currently acting in Iraq disgused as Red Crescent officials and as radio and television employees. The source also revealed the names and locations of 20 of the Al-Qods Forces bases in Iran that are being used to train commanders of the sleeper squads in foreign countries.
