Bahrain's shari'a court has sued Bahraini journalist Lamis Deif after she published a series of articles criticizing the court.
Ms. Deif wrote that a shar'ia court judge had harassed a young woman, that some shari'a judges were acting immorally and exploiting their status to obtain perks, that there was a backlog in the courts, and that the judges' rulings were inconsistent.
It was reported that the investigation against Ms. Deif would lead to her arrest.
