A report by Palestinian Authority security bodies states that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said at a May 6 meeting with Hamas and Islamic Jihad leaders in Damascus that Syria's and Iran's support for them was conditional upon their continued rejection of the peace initiative with Israel.
