The liberal website middleeasttransparent.com reports exclusively, citing associates of Iranian Assembly of Experts chairman Hashemi Rafsanjani, that Rafsanjani is to meet with senior ayatollahs in the holy city of Qom to discuss the possibility of removing Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
As Assembly of Experts chairman, Rafsanjani does have the authority to remove Khamenei.
