Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's call for recognition of Israel as a Jewish state complicates the situation and thwarts the opportunity for peace.
He said that Egypt would not respond to Netanyahu's demand to remove the issue of the Palestinian right of return from the Arab peace initiative.
