A senior advisor to the Sudanese president, Mustafa 'Othman Isma'il, said at a June 26, 2009 conference in Amman that there was a real change in the attitude of the U.S. administration towards Sudan, manifested, for example, in its commitment to preserving Sudan's territorial integrity.
He added that the talks between the two sides would resume when the U.S. administration translated Obama's promise of change into deeds.
