Al-Mustaqbal: Assad Has Asked U.S. to Help Restart Syria-Israel Talks

According to the Lebanese daily Al-Mustaqbal, Syrian President Assad has conveyed a message to the U.S. President via Abu Mazen, containing four requests: to return the U.S. ambassador to Damascus, to remove Syria from the list of countries sponsoring terror, to renew the American-Iraqi-Syrian security coordination, and to take steps to restart the talks between Syria and Israel.

It was reported that Obama has promised to consider the requests, and has already agreed to return the ambassador.
