Saudi cleric Sheikh Awadh Al-Qarni said, in an interview with the Al-Arabiya TV website, that he supports Osama bin Laden's fighting in Afghanistan because, he says, it is aimed at defending the Afghan people.
However, he said, the terror attacks carried out in Saudi Arabia by supporters of bin Laden harm Islam and the Muslims, and should be opposed.
