A Syrian opposition website reports on the recent assassination of 30 senior officials and activists in the Shi'ite organization Jaysh Al-Mahdi (Mahdi Army).
The organization is led by Muqtada Al-Sadr.
The website does not give details of the assassins.
It also states that Jaysh Al-Mahdi was responsible for the murder and expulsion of thousands of Palestinians who lived in Baghdad and that following these events many of the organization's activists fled to Iran.
