The March 14 Forces accused Syria of being behind the June 24, 2007 attack on a UNIFIL vehicle in South Lebanon. The bombing, they claimed, was part of a Syrian terrorist plan to undermine Lebanon's stability and independence, after Syria failed to vanquish the Lebanese will by means of bombings and assassinations against the Lebanese people.
