Two key Iraqi Sunni leaders, 'Adnan Al-Duleimi and Khalaf Al-'Alyan, have declared that Iraqi Sunnis no longer wish to organize themselves into a Sunni political body, and that they would operate within national coalitions that "repudiate sectarianism, the political quota system, and the exploitation of religion to gain votes."
[This is precisely the program of Iraqi Prime Minister Al-Maliki's dawlat al-qanun ("state of law") but the speakers have not gone as far as endorsing it or joining it at this time.]
