Hizbullah associates have said that Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah has ordered that committees be established to investigate Hizbullah members' involvement in a Ponzi scheme run by Hizbullah-affiliated businessman Salah 'Izz Al-Din.
The move followed news that much of the money invested with 'Izz Al-Din originated from compensation given to those harmed by the July 2006 war with Israel.
It was also reported that Iran had told Hizbullah that it would not be able to cover the losses caused by the affair.
