Iranian human rights activist and Nobel laureate Shirin Ebadi has accused the U.S. of ignoring the human rights violations in Iran because of its attempts to stop Iran's nuclear program.
In congratulating President Obama for his Nobel Peace Prize win, Ebadi expressed the hope that he would expand his vision of peace to include people's basic human rights to live in freedom and dignity.
She called Iran's trial of opposition leaders a "theatrical circus."
