Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad and Sudanese Defense Minister Abd Al-Rahim Muhammad Hussein met in Damascus yesterday to discuss tightening cooperation between their two countries' armies.
It should be noted that the U.S. recently warned Sudan against tightening its relations with Syria in a way that would harm U.S. national security (see U.S. Will Pressure Sudan If It Is Holding Contacts With Iran).
