Mousavi stated, in an October 31, 2009 communiqué, that Ahmadinejad's portrayal of the Vienna talks as an Iranian victory was nothing but a defrauding of the Iranian people.
He added that even if the Iranian regime managed to prevent Iran's uranium from being transferred to the West, Ahmadinejad's extreme policy could lead to a global consensus on sanctions against Iran that would harm the Iranian people.
