Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad met in Tehran with Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamid bin Khalifa Aal-Thani; during the meeting, Khamenei said that the enemy was trying to prevent unity among the countries of the region, and called on these countries to thwart these plans and to turn the Persian Gulf into a safe region via cooperation.
In a veiled attack on Egypt and Saudi Arabia, Khamenei said that these countries had not acted for the sake of the Palestinians in the Gaza war.
Ahmadinejad said that unity among the Islamic countries would make Israel's reality harsher.
The Emir said in response that his country's relations with Iran were strategic, and would never change.
