In an interview with the Turkish media on the eve of his visit to this country, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that the West was not afraid that Iran would obtain a nuclear bomb, but was intimidated by its nuclear progress and by its lack of dependence on the West.
He also called on the E.U. to accept Turkey to the union, explaining that Iran's desire to expand its ties with this country did not come at the expense of Turkey's relations with the West.
