Muslim Brotherhood Leader To Saudi King: Stop Fighting Houthis

Muslim Brotherhood General Guide Muhammad Mahdi 'Akef has called on Saudi King Abdallah to stop the fighting in the Yemen arena and to refrain from spilling Muslim blood.

'Akef called on clerics worldwide to influence the king to stop the fighting.

Tareq AlHomayed, editor of the London Saudi daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, wrote that 'Akef's statements were further proof that the Muslim Brotherhood advocated the weakness of the Arab states and an undermining of their security by means of extremist movements funded by Iran.

Alhomayed added that 'Akef's statements attested to the danger that his movement poses, and to the deepening of the alliance between it and Iran.
