Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki has said that all the Saudi positions toward Iraq have been negative, and all the steps taken by Iraq to improve relations with Saudi Arabia have been turned down.
Saudi Arabia claims that Al-Maliki has broken his promise to eschew sectarianism in the rebuilding of Iraq, and particularly in the armed forces.
Al-Maliki stressed that the door remains open for normal relationships between the two countries whenever Saudi Arabia is willing.
