In a speech marking the anniversary of the death of Yasser Arafat, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud 'Abbas praised Arafat and noted that the Palestinians would continue the path of struggle that he led, and that their path today relies on the legacy of the struggle.
'Abbas said that peace is a strategic choice, and added that the Palestinians had combined armed struggle with political activity.
He said that the rifles that they used were not the rifles of highwaymen, but rifles in the hands of political people, and that they are being used for noble goals.
