The Lebanese daily Al-Akhbar, which is identified with the Lebanese opposition, reports, citing official sources, that the aim of Lebanese President Michel Suleiman's visit to Damascus yesterday was to thank Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad for his help and his contribution in establishing the government in Lebanon.
The sources did not rule out the possibility that Lebanese Prime Minister Sa'd Al-Hariri would also visit Lebanon in the near future.
However, Syrian presidential advisor Buthayna Sha'ban said that it was still too early to talk about such a visit.
