Iranian Daily Warns Russia Against Missile Defense Deal Delay

The Iranian daily Jomhouri-e Eslami, which is close to the religious seminaries in Qom, has defined the criticism of Iran expressed by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev during his meeting with U.S. President Barack Obama as a threat.

The paper warned Russia that failing to live up to its obligations, including the S-300 missile defense deal and the delay in the activation of the reactor at Bushehr, as well as its cooperation with the U.S., are not in Russia's favor.

Majlis National Security Committee chairman Ala Al-Din Boroujerdi called the further delay in activating the Bushehr reactor "an extraordinary act."
