Iranian Army chief of staff Hassan Firouzabadi has warned Russia that delay in the supply of S-300 missile systems could harm Russia because its security is tied to that of Iran.
Majlis National Security Committee member Heshmatollah Falahat-Pisheh stated that Russia was concocting a plot with the U.S. to delay the activation of the Bushehr reactor in order to pressure Iran to agree to the Vienna draft, but that Iran could complete the reactor on its own.
Falahat-Pisheh added that while Russia had strategic relations with the U.S., its relations with Iran were strictly tactical, and it perceived Iran as isolated and subject to Russia's whims.
