Iranian Army chief of staff Hassan Firouzabadi has said that the slaughter of the Shi'ites in northern Yemen is a sign of the beginning of institutionalized Wahhabi terrorism that endangers Islam and the region.
Firouzabadi warned Saudi Arabia that the battles would spill over into its territory, and to the entire Muslim world.
An article in the IRGC weekly Sobh-e Sadeq warned the Saudi leadership that its involvement in the fighting in Yemen could lead to the downfall of the Saudi regime, and stated that the war in Yemen was led by Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan, which are encouraging "controlled regional tension" due to their fear of both Iranian-U.S. rapprochement and an Iran-U.S. war.
