Syria's Ministry of Religious Endowments this week (November 16) opened a center for retraining thousands of preachers.
Ministry of Religious Endowments Muhammad Abd Al-Sattar said that the aim was to train preachers in knowledge to increase moderation.
Center administrator Salem Al-Moussa said that in the next four years the center would train some 8,000 preachers.
