The London daily Al-Hayat reports, citing Western sources, that U.S. intelligence has been holding contacts with elements in the Iraqi Ba'th party close to party head 'Izzat Al-Douri.
Al-Douri was formerly deputy to Saddam Hussein and sixth on the U.S. military's list of wanted men.
