Merkel's Advisor: Terror Activists Infiltrating Refugee Camps In Lebanon

The Lebanese daily Al-Nahar reports that Christoph Heusgen, security advisor to German Chancellor Angela Merkel, told Lebanese officials during his visit to Lebanon this week that terror activists from Arab countries had recently entered the refugee camps in Lebanon.

He asked the officials to keep a close eye on activity within and outside the camps, and in the region of the Beirut airport, and noted that Germany was willing to provide Lebanon with equipment to help it do so.

A senior Fatah official in Lebanon Sultan Abu El-Eimein warned this week of an intent by "external elements" to send Islamist activists into the refugee camps in Lebanon.
