Khaled Mash'al: The Arabs Are Distancing Themselves From Us – But Iran Supports Us Unhesitatingly

The Qatari daily Al-Sharq reports that Saudi Arabia promised Hamas political bureau head Khaled Mash'al, during his January 3 visit to the kingdom, to work to get Egypt and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to soften their stance regarding Hamas' demands in the Palestinian reconciliation document.

Mash'al said that while Iran helped Hamas unconditionally, the Arab stance ignored Palestinian rights, and that Egypt was trying to dictate conditions to Hamas and to tighten the blockade on Gaza with the steel barrier.
