Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation Fayza Abul-Naga announced that Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has accepted the government's proposal to stop accepting American aid within the decade, because of Egypt's opposition to the political demands accompanying it.
It was reported that Egypt also opposes the U.S. Congress's resolution to fund civil society organizations directly instead of transferring the aid via the relevant government ministries.
