In meetings of Fatah's Central Committee, members demanded that control of key offices in the Palestinian government be returned to Fatah, and that a Fatah member be appointed new secretary of the PLO executive council and as overseer of the Palestinian broadcasting authority.
These positions are currently held by Yasser Abed Rabbo, who is not a Fatah member.
