Larijani: Iran's Nuclear Program – An Asset For The Islamic World

At a press conference in Kuwait, Iranian Majlis speaker Ali Larijani said that Iran's missiles would scorch the land of Israel if Israel attacked it, and that Iran's support for Hizbullah and Hamas was an Islamic obligation that prevented Israel from taking over the region and undermining security in Kuwait.

He added that the U.S. and Israel were sowing "Shi'a-phobia" in the countries of the region, so as to establish military bases in them and to sell them fake weapons in exchange for their oil, and that President Obama has made U.S. policy towards the countries of the region worse.

Larijani noted that Iran's nuclear program was an asset for the Islamic world.

Majlis National Security Committee chairman Alaeddin Boroujerdi said in Kuwait that Iran aspired to expand its security cooperation with its neighbors, and that to this end it would sign regional security agreements.
