Saudi FM: Conditions Not Ripe For Assad-Mubarak Summit

In his first mention of Saudi attempts at mediation between Syria and Egypt, Saudi Foreign Minister Saud Al-Faisal said that conditions are not ripe for a Saudi-Syrian-Egyptian summit, and that his country would continue its mediation efforts.

Syria-Egypt relations have been rocky since the 2005 assassination of former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq Al-Hariri.
