The Qatari company Al-Nour, which plans to produce a 200 million dollar film in English about the life of the Prophet Muhammad, held a conference on February 2-3, attended by prominent religious scholars, including International Muslim Scholars Union head Sheikh Yousef Al-Qaradhawi.
The participants discussed the film's message, its compatibility with the Islamic shari'a, and the portrayal of the Prophet's companions. It was reported that, due to disagreements among the conferees, futher consultations will be held.
